David Lynch's picture

Dr. Lynch came to Bellingham from Spokane, after completing his family medicine residency from 1975-1978 at the University of Washington program, Family Medicine Spokane.  He completed college at Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts, and Medical School at the State University of New York Upstate Medical University in Syracuse.

In August, 1978, he and Dr. Jim Ross opened an office together on Dupont Avenue, where they shared call with Dr. McAllister and Dr. Hipskind, who remain current FCN doctors. That practice grew quickly with many wonderful patients. In 1991, Drs Lynch and Ross moved the office to 3500 Orchard Place, where they were joined by Dr. McAllister, and also by Drs. Miriam Shapiro, Kelli Jacobs and Tom Schneider.

When Family Care Network was formed in 1999, Dr. Lynch added FCN leadership duties, and began practicing part time. In 2005, he relinquished day to day patient care responsibilities when Drs. Jessica and Ed Bloom joined the practice. Today, he works as Vice-President for Clinical process Improvement and Business Development, and also sees patients in the Medical Testing Center as well as other FCN offices from time to time, when extra help is needed.

He and his wife, Tisch have four grown daughters, and love living and working in Bellingham and Whatcom County.
