Jennifer A. Bates, MD

Jennifer A. Bates, M.D. grew up in Bellevue, WA with 4 sisters. She attended the University of Washington for her Bachelor of Science degree and received her medical degree from the University of Washington School of Medicine. Her family medicine residency was also through the University of Washington at Harborview Medical Center.  Before joining Family Care Network in October of 2004, Dr. Bates worked in private practice in Mount Vernon and Bellingham.  She practices full spectrum family medicine with an emphasis on obstetrics, pediatrics, and management of chronic illness.

Dr. Bates spends her free time with her partner, Melissa Ashby, M.D., their young twins, two dogs, and large extended families throughout Western Washington.
